Luxury watches are not just timepieces; they are precision instruments crafted from the finest materials. When it comes to shipping these exquisite items, ensuring their safe arrival is paramount. In this blog, we'll explore the "two-box method," a reliable approach to packing and shipping your luxury watch with care.

What You'll Need:
Before we dive into the steps, gather the following materials: two boxes (one at least 2 inches smaller per side than the other), bubble wrap, and shipping tape. For our guide, we’ll use a 10x10x10 inch box and a 12x12x12 inch box, but you can adjust based on your watch's size.
Preparation Tips:
For added security, consider video recording your watch and all its functions (date wheel, chronograph, winding, etc.) in working order before packing. This precaution can be invaluable in the rare event of damage or theft, assisting with insurance claims.
Step-by-Step Packing Guide:
Secure the Watch: Inspect your watch box to ensure the watch won't fall out during transit. If there's a risk, use a small piece of bubble wrap to wedge the watch securely in place.
Prepare the Smaller Box: Construct the bottom of your smaller box with three strips of tape staggered along the seal.
Wrap the Watch Box: Wrap your watch box in bubble wrap, securing the ends with tape to create a single, protected unit.
Cushion the Smaller Box: Add bubble wrap to the bottom and sides of the smaller box before placing your watch inside. Fill any remaining space with bubble wrap, avoiding overfilling.
Seal the Smaller Box: Use three strips of tape to seal the smaller box. If applicable, attach any inner shipping labels.
Prepare the Larger Box: Construct the bottom of your larger box with three strips of tape.
Nest the Smaller Box: Place the sealed smaller box inside the larger one, surrounding it with bubble wrap.
Seal and Label: Secure the larger box with three strips of tape. Affix your shipping label with tape, ensuring it covers the entire label to protect against moisture.
Important Security Note:
Never label the outer box with "FRAGILE" or any indication of its contents. This packing method offers the best protection against damage and theft.
Ready to Ship:
Congratulations! Your watch is now ready for shipment.
Choosing the Right Shipper:
For insured shipping, we recommend IFS, a trusted provider of high-value, luxury goods shipping via FedEx Air. They offer competitive pricing and higher insurance limits.
